Who We are & What we do
The Goal - A Healthy Church
The church serves as God’s primary instrument of redemption in the world.
As we partner with the sending church to plant a church, it is paramount to understand what healthy characteristics we are discipling people towards in order to see the task completed in each people group.
Steps to the goal
Resources for the goal
-
GSI exists to help sending churches equip workers that are engaging unreached language groups to plant healthy churches. We support this through experienced consultants who assist workers faithfully communicate Scripture across cultural and language barriers. Sent-workers teach the full biblical story—so people clearly understand sin, God’s character, and the grace found in Christ. As believers are established in the language group, we help guide discipleship and leadership development so those local churches can grow, disciple leaders, appoint elders, and eventually send out workers of their own.
-
GSI serves sending churches by equipping their workers to pursue deep language and cultural fluency through immersive learning in local communities. Through structured progression and everyday relationships, workers grow from basic communication to engaging complex ideas and worldviews with clarity and understanding. This approach emphasizes real-life interaction, consistent practice, and cultural integration so that workers are not outsiders, but participants in the community. The goal is to communicate the gospel clearly and faithfully in both word and life, laying a foundation for church planting and Bible translation.
-
GSI serves sending churches by helping them identify where the need for the gospel is greatest among the world’s language groups. We utilize trusted global research—drawing from established datasets that track thousands of groups and highlight those with little to no access to the gospel—to understand where the gaps remain. Today, there are still over 7,000 unreached groups representing billions of people, many with no viable church presence among them.
This research is then strengthened through on-the-ground assessment, as teams gather firsthand insight into language, culture, and local realities. By combining global data with field validation, we help the sending church move beyond general awareness to informed, prayerful decision-making. Our goal is to give sending churches the clearest possible picture so they can engage the neediest language groups with wisdom, clarity, and confidence.

GSI helps sending churches send workers into hard-to-reach places by establishing legitimate, sustainable businesses that provide access to live and serve long-term. These businesses are not the end goal, but a means of entering communities, building relationships, and supporting ongoing ministry efforts. We come alongside workers and their sending churches with guidance, strategy, and experienced counsel to navigate cross-cultural business development wisely. Through this approach, workers can live among or get as close as possible to the people, earn trust, and faithfully proclaim Christ where He is not yet known.
-
GSI serves sending churches by supporting the translation of Scripture and the development of biblical teaching resources for language groups. We come alongside workers with experienced translation consultants to ensure the process of orthography development to printed scripture are clear, accurate, and faithful to the meaning of the text, with a long-term aim of seeing the full Bible translated into each language. At the same time, we help develop curriculum that walks people through the full story of Scripture in ways that are understandable within their cultural context. Through this work, people can encounter God’s Word clearly, laying a strong foundation for discipleship and the establishment of healthy churches.
-
GSI serves sending churches by providing the financial and administrative systems needed to sustain workers long-term. We facilitate secure donation processing, clear receipting, and transparent reporting so churches and donors can give with confidence. Our team also helps navigate areas such as insurance, compliance, and financial stewardship, reducing burdens on both churches and sent-workers. Through these supports, people on the field are freed to focus on living among the people and faithfully proclaiming Christ.
-
