Research & Survey Trips

Research and survey trips help engage the right language group in the right place.

Before workers can faithfully engage in an unreached language group, they need to understand the people, language, location, and realities on the ground.

Our internal research team gathers multi-points of data and then leadership prioritizes groups based on factors such as language use, population, geography, gospel access, existing ministry efforts, and other practical considerations for long-term ministry.

Survey trips take the collected data to the field. Workers travel to potential areas of engagement to verify information, meet people, observe language and culture firsthand, and better understand the opportunities and challenges of living and serving among a language group.

Together, assessment and survey help move a team from what we know on paper to what is actually happening on the ground—providing greater clarity as the sending church, workers, and GSI consider where long-term engagement may begin.

The goal is not simply to identify a place to go, but to pursue informed, faithful engagement where access to the gospel remains limited or non-existent.
