Job Summary/Primary Role:

The Communications Specialist supports GSI’s Communications Department with GSI blog, webpage copy, digital marketing campaigns, and donor communications. This person will also assist as an editor and a voice in the overall content strategy of the organization and each of its ministry divisions.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Draft, edit, and deploy content for digital and print publications, donor communications, web, social media, and marketing campaigns, navigating security issues, and organizational initiatives.
• Help shape strategy for future GSI content development.
• Interview and research as needed for writing projects.
• Provide photo/visual content as needed.
• Travel as assigned by Leadership team (domestically or occasional international) for content development, participation in media workshops, or conferences.
• Other duties as assigned.
